The idea for Unbridled began with a nudge from God that I felt in October of 2021 after being interviewed by a young college student. She asked, “How have you gotten where you are now?”

Without hesitation, I answered, “I have an incredible support system and I’ve met the right people.” After answering, I felt a little guilty. I’ve been very blessed in my career with a great system of mentors and people that motivate me to succeed. I realize not everyone has access to people like this, so I wanted to create a solution. That solution is Unbridled.

I started by making a list of people in different rural and agricultural industries that I admire. Some of these people are represented throughout the conference as mentors and speakers.

I decided to make this a program for women only, not because we’re “victims” or because we’re mistreated, but because women are different from men. We struggle differently, our hormones are weird, we have different responsibilities, we birth children, we go through menopause, you get the picture.

My goal is to see a community of women come together and help each other accomplish career goals, grow professional networks, provide advice, share career opportunities, and celebrate each other’s successes.
